Patagonia, Argentina Family yoga vacation
with Jennifer Pettit and Kyle Canepa
Saturday February 19th-26th, 2005
Set in the pristine Rivadavia valley, La Rinconada is a privately owned 880-acre ranch set in the heart of Argentina's lake district. On the grounds are the inn, yoga studio, gardens, picnic area, greenhouse and organic garden, barn and stable.
Every day will include two yoga classes (Anusara, Iyengar and Ashtanga influenced), scheduled children's activities, many unscheduled hours for down time and to enjoy the area as a family, ride horseback or hike in the surrounding areas where there are astoundingly beautiful brooks, forests and overlooks to explore. We have planned an optional boat trip to the breath-taking Los Alerces National Forest, as well.
Children's activities will include age appropriate adventures: gardening, painting, petting animals, games, cooking, and crafts. For older children: swimming, hiking, soccer, games, horseback riding for experienced riders (8 years or older). While yoga classes are being held, all scheduled children's activities will have bilingual childcare providers.
Rocky Durham, former head chef of Santacafé in Santa Fe, New Mexico will be cooking for the group as well as offering cooking classes for those interested.
We have a collection of yoga retreat photos as well plenty of additional pictures in the gallery.
